Pin Up.

Brooches are an all-time classic and the perfect accessory for this Winter. They look simply amazing with a chunky knit, or on the  lapel of a blazer and can give the perfect touch to that somewhat plain outfit. I just love the variety of brooches, anything from fabric to ceramic, or even wood, and endless looks of classy, cute, fun and sometimes odd. From statement piece to conversation starter, you can't go wrong with a brooch.

New Muse.

Olivia Palermo. I just can't get enough of this New York socialite. Her style is amazing and her beau is just a wee bit stunning/dashing/handsome/irresistible and oh so stylish. I am totally loving these outfits, especially this one with the khaki pants. So casual and chic. And the photo is just adorable; she looks like she is just being a typical girl and he looks so supporting and happy to listen. They remind me of the couple from Ghost Whisperer... does anyone else watch it? Ok, just me. I swear I've only seen about four episodes! ha!

Beautiful Burgundy.

Oh, I am just loving this amazing burgundy/wine colour at the moment! Just as we move into Winter in Australia, it is a perfect match for all the basic colours like black, white, grey, beige and brown! And the drizzly weather. It warms me from the inside out.

Quilted Handbags.

The perfect quilted handbag.

CHANEL.

Other designers have tried to do a similar bag, but quite frankly, why would you choose anything else. So perfect and so classic. Now in an array of delicious and irresistible colours.

My personal favourites are the pale blue and beige.

Stitched Up.

These amazing and interesting works of art are by Inge Jacobson. She uses cross stitch and embroidery over images from high fashion magazines. I love them!

"The work I am currently making is an intervention into found images through embroidery, cutting, and collaging. The images I use are from women’s high fashion magazines and pornographic images found on the internet. These make up the basis of most of my work although I am starting to explore newspaper imagery as well. My main concern as an artist is how one responds to the mass of imagery in the world. Altering these is central to a lot of my work."
